Data Protection Act 2018 (and the UK GDPR)

Following the UK’s departure from the European Union (EU), the Data Protection Act 2018 (DPA) has replaced the EU’s General Data Protection Regulation. The Data Protection Act 2018 controls how your personal information is used by organisations, businesses or the government.

This module explores what the DPA means to you, including the key principles and definitions that you need to be aware of when handling data. It also covers the consequences of non-compliance.
