Off the shelf elearning. Staying safe at work.

COSHH

COSHH stands for Control of Substances Hazardous to Health.

In 2002, the government published regulations that require employers to identify hazardous substances within their organisations and provide the necessary control measures to reduce the risks to health.

It’s the duty of your employer to alert you to the risks in your area of work and ensure that appropriate control methods are in place to protect you from harm. However, it’s then up to you to abide by the rules put in place for your own safety and that of your colleagues.

Every work environment is different and presents its own unique risks. However, this module should leave you feeling more confident to identify hazardous substances and how to store and handle them safely.
