Chaperoning

Sometimes, during a clinical examination or investigation, it may be necessary to touch or be close to a patient. Patients and staff need to be confident that best practice is being followed at all times and that the safety and wishes of everyone concerned have been respected.

One way to ensure this confidence is to offer patients a chaperone.
