Premier Farnell plc is a leading, high service, multi-channel distribution group supporting millions of engineers and purchasing professionals globally through its Group companies. Products range from electronic components to industrial products from over 3,500 leading suppliers.
Dynamic have a strong client relationship with Premier Farnell which has flourished over a number of years of developing numerous e-learning programmes for the organisation from induction through to management development programmes.
Following the successful implementation of materials to support Futures a performance management system provided via (SuccessFactors), Dynamic were commissioned to develop a number of e-learning materials to introduce a 360º appraisal process to compliment those developed for Futures.
Dynamic’s approach was to develop an On Top Helper™ module to step employees through the physical appraisal process, including how to review and interpret the reports available and how to use the writing assistant or coaching advisor process.
A menu driven training module was then created to be used as an appraisal toolkit covering the 360 degree appraisal process from; the rating scale and how to apply ratings, giving and receiving feedback, preparing for the discussion and planning development based on appraisal feedback.
The training materials were designed so they could be used by both someone appraising performance and the individual being appraised. The materials were hosted via their learning management platform and made available from the Futures portal page. The solution was implemented in the UK initially, and then Dynamic translated it into a further six languages for the organisation's global businesses.
