Dynamic have worked in collaboration with The Leeds Teaching Hospitals NHS Trust over a number of years to deliver e-learning materials.
A recent requirement from the Trust involved an e-learning solution, hosted on the NLMS, to demonstrate how to use a new system for the generation of an electronic Discharge Advice Note (eDAN).
The requirement needed to show the process in relation to prescribers, pharmacists, pharmacist technicians and nurses.
Dynamic delivered a series of high quality, interactive e-learning elements to support the introduction of the new system. The main content of the programme involved users working through simulations of the live system to learn what and how information should be recorded.
At the end of each module users had the opportunity to complete assessment exercises to demonstrate their understanding by completing scenario type questions which asked the user what they should do next.
One of the challenges presented in this project involved ensuring that the e-learning was kept up-to-date with the on-going development of the live system. This entailed close collaboration with the Trust to ensure that all information was accurate, relevant and current.
